Soil testing, Interpretation and Recommendations
SOIL is the farmer’s most important resource. Maintaining healthy soils is the foundation for sustainable agriculture and profitable farming. Soil and plant analysis plays an essential role in the assessment of your soils and the efficient use of nutrient management to ensure your soil is at its healthiest at all times. Testing your soils, and plants, is a simple and cost effective way to manage your productivity. It will allow you to make informed choices in the type and use of fertilizers and nutrients as well as selecting the best crop for your soil type.
NFW Agronomists are experienced in conducting soil and plant tests. The equipment used allows for accurate sampling up to a depth of 1m. They have all completed specialized courses in Nutrient Advantage and are up to date with the required skills and knowledge to make informed recommendations of the correct types and amounts of fertilizers you will need.
A Soil Test is the used to sample soils to analyse their composition and characteristics, their nutrient content and any contaminants that may be present. They are used to measure the growth potential of the soil – its fertility. It will also let you know if it is deficient in any minerals and even the potential of toxins from over-fertilization.
